INTRODUCING

We were delighted to welcome ONE new exhibitor to our September arts event.

TOM SHAPLAND - ARTIST

Based in Dorset, I paint watercolour for creativity, satisfaction and sanity. After long periods in the far east I have returned back to the relative calm and peace of the countryside to evolve something I have always been passionate about. Taking much inspiration from places i enjoy and feel lucky enough to have been.

RICHARD HORNER - ARTIST

Richard Horner is a self-taught fine artist and described himself as a die-in-the wool Yorkshireman but for the last 30 years has been living in self-imposed exile in Wiltshire. He has dabbled in most mediums but finds the switching between Watercolour and Oil his most rewarding. Subject matter ranges from landscapes, still life to portraits with the living world his inspiration. Some of these creations have also been accompanied by self-penned poetry.

 WILL RICHARDSON - SCULPTURE

Will Richardson is an intuitive stone carver with no formal training in art or sculpture. Much of his work is figurative, leaving unrevealed elements for the viewer to imagine.  He deliberately avoids any suggestion of literary or allegorical associations in his work as this imposes a viewpoint on the observer.

JANE MCNEILL - STUDIO POTTER

I am a studio potter based in Homington, just outside Salisbury.  I first discovered clay about 5 years ago, and from the first touch I was hooked!  I make wheel-thrown pieces, mostly in stoneware clay, and I’m hugely drawn to a cool, calm palette and clean lines - many people comment on a beachy/coastal feel to my work.  Life can be noisy and chaotic, and I love to make pieces that people can bring into their homes which bring with them a sense of peace and calm.
